I am trying to figure out a way to shrink down the file size of a video and put it in my blackberry 8310. With a 2 inch screen I figure I don't need full quality on a movie, and that way I can fit more on my memory card.

I found a video converter that lets me do this. When I copy an MP4 to my blackberry however it will not play. The only way I can get it to play is if I use the Roxio media manager to copy the file to my blackberry and convert it with that. There is a problem with this though. For some reason the roxio media manager increases the size of the file that I just shrunk. So therefore now I have a lower quality video that has the same file size that I started with.

    Please help.

I tried the blackberry video converter. Looks like it works, and the price is definitely right... free.

    Thanks for your help.

Blackberry Video Converter is a great little program. I have used it quite a bit.

For regular TV shows use 320 x 240 and for widescreen try 320 x 200. It makes the people about the right aspect ratio.

It increased the file size. Lol

3GP is the subset of MP4 that 'berrys prefer. When you get it right, bypass MM and load it through Windows.

I have done some testing with my AVG software, got a sweet setup for 320 video now.

If I watched Media on my berry, I would try it. This is the main reason it didn't bother me too much to drop the iPhone.
