I was wondering what people think about the annoucement made about 6 months ago to open their network to any CDMA phone, and maybe eventually Google's Android phone.
I was wondering what everyone thinks about this, because I am looking to get a verizon curve but with news that by the end of 2008 I can use a sprint or Altel curve (which have GPS) I might wait. Also do you think there are any chances of verizon unlocking their own gps (is it even possible for them to unlock it?) when they open the network?
I cannot tell you that what you heard is true or false. What I can tell you though is that no other branded blackberry other then Verizon will work on Verizon's Network. The blackberry needs to be from Verizon because of blackberry needed applications called service books.
Will Verizon ever un-block GPS - highly doubt it but many of us are wishing for it.
