    Hi all,

First time poster here. I have been reading the forums and have not found this issue anywhere.

People send me messages to my #@vzw.blackberry.net account and the only issue I have is that if a Verizon phone sends me a message, I am not getting it, nor when I send them a message, they do not get it.

I receive blackberry emails from ATAT, Sprint, etc...and no problems. But, Verizon to Verizon, I get none and they get none.

    Any help?

I know prior to my Verizon Blackberry, I would just enter the #, followed by @vtext.com if I was sending an email, and there was no problems.

    Thanks!

Yes, I have to no avail. Weird...but I have tried everything, other than stopping at the Verizon shop.

1 other thing...I have my text messages turned off. Got tired of all my drunk friends forwarding pix, tm's etc late at night, so I figured I would use the Blackberry Email just for those I talk to and not have to worry about losing sleep at night.. haha

When you say function, are you meaning the vtext function, or Verizon to Verizon Blackberry email to someone with a Verizon non Blackberry?

I know in the past, I always used my personal email (yahoo) to talk to my X....and it worked fine.

I know of the vtext capability, my parents use it. But emailing "#@vzw.blackberry.net" is something I've never heard of before. And, I just tried it, and it hasn't worked (yet)

and by the way.....why don't you just use the email that's associated with the phone????

Even just the BIS email that you set up?

My mistake. I am not using my number...I am using the BIS...it's my name and 4 numbers, then @vzw.blackberry.net.

    My apologies

my bad, guess I was thinking of the @bis.blackberry.com addy

I think the best solution here is just to use the email address you have associated with the device.

Where can I find the BIS address?

The only email addresses on my phone are the vzw.blackberry.com and my yahoo. I am not familiar with the bis...

They did at one point....I've found calling is better though, seems to take less time. Cause you ask the question in live chat and then they have to search the answer.

*611 is the place to go....you're calling PDA/SMartphone support, so they're not as swamped as the other services.
