Okay so you might think that I am a goofball or an ***** once you read this but hopefully someone is interested.
I purchased a Verizon 8330 Curve about a month ago. When I got the phone I decided to paint it ... since I have to have something different then everyone else.
Anyway I no longer have the discount from my employer so I am switching carriers and now have to send back the Curve to VZ. Since I painted it that is a big problem especially since there are no housings for the 8330 unit out there.
So if anyone is interested in trading their liquid silver housing on their VZ curve for my green housing please let me know. They told me I have 10 days before I am required to pay since I was within the 30 day trial period.
Here are some pics .... any questions please let me know. Thanks!
Thanks ... I wish I could just sell it but honestly I dont think that I would cover the costs. I was told if I dont return the phone I will also have to pay the ETF ... not pretty!
There should be housing available for the 8330. I would do some more searching.
I don't really like green, but your phone does look super cute.
I have been searching for a housing for probably 3 days straight and nothing ...I even looked at the possibility of purchasing a used phone just to get this off my hands. I never thought it would be that difficult.
I appreciate your help. I really consider myself a super searcher, I usually can find anything .... but with this I am at a loss. Offering it up for trade was my only other idea ....
It's probably a modeling paint, like the kind you get from a hobby shop (since the Curve housing is plastic, like most models.) I'm thinking of doing something similar to my Curve.
OP - did you airbrush it or hand-paint it? If hand-painted, that's a fine job indeed.
I would get on Ebay look for a Dummy Phone buy it for a few bucks change housings send it in and its all good. If you have to pay for next day shipping from the seller it will be less than a new Curve.
I have also searched for housing for the VZW 8330 and it is very hard to find as of right now. I even contacted cnn.cn and they told me it would be a while for they had anything for the Verizon Curve.
I also want to know what you used to paint it. THAT IS A GREAT JOB! I wanted to send mine to colorware, but if I could do it myself for half the price...well hmmm, I will save money!
