I got my 8330 4 days ago and it's been perfectly fine, except it keeps on doing a verifying security software check which takes about 2 minutes during which I cannot do anything. It's happened several times when I try and compose a new SMS and once even after I answered a phone call.
It's rather annoying and I can't see why it would be doing it so often.
That means it is suffering from a power interuption. That forces a full restart and you see that message when it has finished.
First suspect is the battery. I would take it to the carrier and let them check it our for you. If it is not the battery, it is a serious problem with the internal power supply.
