I am going to Ireland in July and am wondering if sprint has a gsm network for overseas. I am new to the blackberry world and have never used my own cell phone overseas before and am wondering how that works. Just curious if it is better to use my own phone or to rent one for my trip.

    Thanks

No, sprint does not have a gsm service there, because their configuration on their phones is completely different. Sprint is CDMA and verizon is too. However, they don't have a sim card, so you can't just swap 'em out for a prepaid sim card and service in ireland. You would need a Gsm phone, which is companies like at&t and tmobile. If you had one of their UNLOCKED phones, you could just buy a prepaid sim card their and pop it in and you're good to go. So your only choice is to rent one out I guess...
