    dm is installed but when connected by usb the connection is not recognized. When i go to my device mgr the bb is listed there under ?other devices as the RIM composite device. When i view its properties it shows that "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)" I tried to reinstall the drivers from there with no success. I also removed and reinstalled the dm. Can anyone offer up any other solution? Please and TIA!

    try to restart the pc with the bb plugged in and see if it will auto install.

    thank you for the suggestion...gave it a try, but did not work
    isnt there somewhere i can go to download drivers that are needed?

    The usb port on your berry might be going bad this is what mine did.
