So I just got the curve 8330, i have verizon, and all of a sudden a little icon popped up of a globe with a 1 next to it. i have no clue what it is or means and its not in the manual... help!

Are you sure you aren't seeing the BlueTooth connected icon?

im pretty sure. i havent set up the bluetooth yet so i dont know why that would show up. its an icon thats not in the blackberry manual so im not sure what it means... i have no unopened emails or anything...

That is a browser push message I believe. Open your browser and
see if there is anything there.

From your messages box hit menu key and select view folder. It should be in one of the boxes there if you don't find it when opening the browser.

You can check in your message folder (the envelope) and you should see a browser message in there. Click on it and your browser will open to the message. I get daily weather reports this way. Hope that helps.
