My mac laptop is paired with my 8310... both devices show up on each others list...

when i try and send a picture or a file from my computer to my BB it says...

this device does not have the necessary services


ok... WTF...

anyone shed some light on this? this may be a deal breaker, i still have 28 days to return this...

You must enable the bb to receive the file. Go to media, pic (music,ringtone,video whatever your trying to send) and press the mune button. There is an option "receive using bluetoothal. One you do this (and your paired), send the file from your pc.
