Does anyone else besides me and my buddy have to reboot your curve inorder to receive a call sometimes???... The call goes through and they can hear me but I cannot hear them....

Do you receive MMS with sound in them? if you do then it is a known issue. TO be fixed in the OS release. You can try to activate voice dialing then cancel it, I have seen it posted here this can fix it for a bit till another MMS with sound comes in. The VZW documented fix is the battery reset.

yes i get ALOT of them i have used the bb soft reboot and this works just sucks to make them wait til it boots up again to talk to them

Agreed, for what ever reason RIM decided to wait for the the OS update to fix it.
