I connect my Curve to my PC, DM reads it fine. I select "back up" option then halfway thru I get a error message saying "The communication link was aborted by the device." This has happened 3 times now, i checked the cord, its good, check to see if it was in tight but everytime it gets halway thru the back up process and gives me the same error. what gives?

Which version of DM are you using. When I had 4.7 I had nothing but troubles. I went to 4.6 without the media and it has been perfect ever since.

I have 4.7 maybe i will give 4.6 a try

Yes. 4.7 is better suited for the Storm. If you uninstall 4.7 and try 4.6 you will have better success overall.

well I tried 4.6 and still same thing. When i try to back up it gets towards the end and then says "could not establish communication with device" then i tried to update my OS to .133 (im running .089 now) and it starts then says "fatal error has occurred" I dont know whats happening. when i updated a couple weeks ago it was fine now i cant do anything

What have you installed since then? Perhaps a Theme or an application?

I had that before and it was as simple as cleaning the cache in my berry browser. Maybe worth a shot??

I did install a few themes since then. maybe i'll delete those and try again.
