Ok, so the guy who is selling me his BB got himself a "javelin" and he wants to transfer all possible info from the curve he is selling me to his new b4 we can close the deal

How can he do that?

he can open up his DM, device switch wizard and do it that way.. then he will need to release the pin associated wit his email pushed to the phone, he can just log onto his BIS and remove his email address, then he can wipe the handheld (options, security, menu key, wipe handheld) and it will get the curve to restore to out of box condition

thanks, so if he releases the pin, how do i get it to work for me once i unlock it and register it with another carrier?

The pin is device specific, so once you have it and all is well, just sign onto your carriers BIS and sign up there and register etc..

I was wondering, how do you know if the PIN is unlocked? The guy and I called his provider and they said two things.

1- he had to login to a website and deactivate the PIN of the phone he is selling me

2- Once he had the new pin, his old one was released automatically...

Im confused... please help!!
