I noticed today for some reason that i have to press down harder than normal on the trackball to access a program or menu. What should i do, replace the trackball? or i really don't know what else to do. Any help would be great.

You could try to clean it. Here is a link that will help

If that does not fit the bill then you can replace it

Try taking the trackball out and making sure that it isn't dirty under it..

The bad news is the micro switch under the trackball might be going. If it does, cleaning/changing the trackball will not help. There's nothing you can do about it except replace the phone.
