I have a red 8310 from at&t. For some reason lately, at random periods my trackball will stop working! Any suggestions?

Have we done any upgrading recently?
There is a sensitivty adjustment:
Options > Screen/Keyboard > Trackball

When is the last time you reset (Batt.Pull)

Mine will do that occasionally and it's clean and no settings have been changed. It seems that it gets off track a lil bit (if that makes sense) so I just keep rolling it and pushing it in and eventually it gets back on track. Hope that helped!

It may be clean, but with the tiny mechanism, dust or a grain of sand can gum up the works. The ball may need another cleaning & the socket gently blown or cleaned out.

For some, rolling it back and forth can dislodge the debris but sometimes it takes a bit more.
