I have an 8310 curve for AT&T, and for some reason, out of nowhere, the trackball stopped clicking. It still scrolls, but when you press it, it does nothing.

It started off like spazzing out. Whenever I'd click it, it'd act as though I clicked it many times, but I only clicked once. Then, I would have to repeatedly press it just to make it click once. Then, nothing would happen when I'd click it.

I took the trackball out, cleaned it, and put in another one that I had. Still, nothing. What should I do, or what do you think is wrong?

    Thanks!

Take the trackball out again. This time use a Q-Tip or something
with a blunt tip and press the contact. If it behaves normally then
    the trackball is bad.

If it behaves the way you described then the contact itself is bad
and you are going to want to call AT&T for a warranty exchange.

There are few videos on Youtube explaining the process.
