I have a Curve 8330 from Sprint. Recently, the keyboard/trackball started acting funny. First of all, when the phone goes dim, no button will bring the phone back from "sleep". The only way is to connect it to the power (usb/outlet) and the phone finally comes back. Furthermore, when the phone is on, they keyboard is erratic meaning that pressing keys might/might not type a character. Meanwhile, although the trackball works, when I scroll to the left, it switches to the dialer screen and types the asterisk and the pound sign.
I always have the phone and it has not been in any major fall or accident. I frankly don't know what could have happen. I would appreciate any help anyone might offer with this problem. Thank you.
I will try to open the phone and make sure everything is pretty clean inside. Blow it all over with a can air and see if is was dirt or moisture that was causing your issue, it will not hurt to try.
