I just started noticing that the trackball doesn't scroll right very much. There is even a difference in sound: when scrolled up left or down is has that light clicking sound but when I roll it to the right, it doesn't click at all really and is smooth. So I think its hardware. Should I try to clean the trackball or what? By the way this is the second day with the phone. I might have to take it in...

Pop it out and see if the directional rollers move when you scroll right. That one may be stuck. Won't hurt to look first. But if still no luck its only your second day I would take it in for a free ball

Ok it seems like all sides are moving good except for downwards now. I do think there is a problem with the ball. Its less noticeable now I guess but its defective nonetheless.
Could it be a cleaning problem?
