When inactive for a few dozens of seconds, the thing stops showing stuff and you have to press something to show it again. It's really annoying. I often have to look at important notes repeatedly and I can't keep rolling the wheel every 10 seconds to make sure it doesn't turn off. Apparently it's not the backlight option in "Screen/Keyboard" because I set it to 2 min (the maximum) and it certainly doesn't stand for 2 minutes.
Mine seems to work, I just tested it. I suggest changing the timeout to 1 minute, save it, change it back to 2 minutes, save it. Now do a battery pull, then put it all back together, and do a test...
