I've had a user with an ongoing saga of 8300 issues. I actually got him a warranty replacement unit from AT&T but now the new unit has charging issues. It will charge off of the computer, but it won't charge off of a wall charger.

Is there something specific to the wall charger on the 8300 that is different than the wall charger on every other model? Up until now they have been completely interchangeable. I have had models 7280, 7290, 8700, 8800 and 8300 and haven't had problems interchanging wall chargers inbetween them.

Nope! I still use my old 7250 charger with my new 8320 and it works just fine. Same thing with my car charger and USB cable! Have you tried giving him a new wall charger?

BEWARE - After 30 days - ATT will not repair a bent pin INSIDE the mini USB charging port of the BB 8310. ATT will sell you a new phone for $400. RIM will repair it for $200 or replace it for $243. This is a DESIGN FLAW. These mini USB port pins are bent so often that there are several sites now that repair them for about $100 per site. UGH..
