i switched from nextel to verizon a few months ago to get a curve and i love every single thing about my curve exept the ringer volume. i have alot of songs on my curve as ringers and alot of the time i cant hear my phone ringing. i used to have a motorola i885 with nextel and that phone rang so loud that i couldnt even keep the volume all the way up or the speaker would blow. is there anything i can do to make it louder?

So far the only way i know of is useing the volume profiles...

you'll see a speaker, just go there and pic from loude., vibrate, quiet, normal, phone only, and off.

JP I had the same issue from my i580 to the 8330. I haven't found anything yet. Loved the volume of the i580.

You could try updating the OS to the most current, that may be a fix, I never had any volume issues with any of my OS's

Check the sticky at the top of the forum for your device, has instructions and advice, IF you feel comfortable enough doing so, and Id like to mention its no guarantee it will fix your sound issues.

Nope, I always do an independant back up before I upgrade, however, DM then does its own lil thing too, and one of the final steps is a restore, so it should all be put back, the only thing you will need to do is reactivate any 3rd party apps.

Oh let me tell you, when I first got my BB, I had NO clue, Ive never upgraded anything, probably the only thing was small combos to biggie size if I was hungry LOL

I read and read that sticky and made sure I knew where and how to delete the .vendor. xml (need to do if OS is not from carrier)

All set, I was golden. Also, make sure, once it IS upgrading, to be careful to not move the USB cables, it might interupt, and also, it does take a good 45 mins, it will stay on *connecting to device* what seems like forever, but DM will tell you when its all done.

And make sure your PC does not *go to sleep* either

All you need to take over is your berry and yur USB, you can download everything else once there.

Nope, you can take it there, however, they will probably only upgrade to thier official version, is it the one yuo have on the device now? I dont know what Verizons most offical current is.

If its from blackberry.com I dont know if they will do that for you.
