Has anyone ever had to trade their phone in for a refurbished one from At&T? Just wondering how your experience was.

I have 2, they both work flawlessly, and are indistinguishable
    from a new device.

Whomever is refurbishing them for ATT (RIM?) they are doing a great job. I resisted for a few weeks and then when it came, it had all new housing with new lens covered in plastic. Looked cosmetically new. Worked the same as new too. No bad experience from me and I did two refurb trade ins so far.

I upgraded to an 8310 with ATT for $150.00. After about 2 weeks I came across the refurbs on ATTs website for $90.00. Took my new 8310 back to the store and cancelled my upgrade and got a full refund. Went online the same day and did the upgrade with the refurb. ATT shipped it to me DHL express 2nd day for free. I cannot tell the difference from my refurb and my original new curve. It's working just great.

I got the curve refurb and it was good at first. But now, after having it since April, the trackball doesn't light up sometimes, its freezes and occasionally all the messages are deleted. And I've never dropped it at all.

I was sent a refurbished 8300 (to replace the blackjack I hated) and have had no problems. It works great & I have had it about 15 months.

One of my convenience keys stopped working on my 9 mo. old curve and ATT sent me a refurb. I can't tell any difference at all-the screen etc... is perfect.

Thank-you so much for your input. The trackball on my phone is no longer working correctly so after I read your comments I decided to call at&t to have the phone replaced. Thanks again!
