I have a Curve and have read that i can purchase the unlock code(which I have), but i really am not sure what my next step is. Currently I am in Europe working and do not have service due to roaming charges being insane. Would someone mind giving me a little direction on what my next steps should be?

Unlocking Instructions

Very good...thaks for the instructions. Now do i need to purchase a new SIM for Europe and if so what providor would you suggest?

I meant to say that I entered in the unlock code and it seemed to work correctly.

Next i put in my Voda-P SIM and turned on my Curve.

It loads up and asks for a PIN number as if it is locked still

The Voda-p has a lock on it , but it is 0000. As i try to enter it in the phone pulls up a message about emerg. calls.

Any ideas?

Well, I have not gotten response in a while so ifigured an update was due.
I have attempted the unock procedure again and it doesn't seem to do anything (unlike the initial unlock when it asked me for the code). This makes me think either the code didn't work or that it takes more to unlock the AT&T curve.

Any and all suggestion are appreciated.

I have an unlocked phone and purchased a pre-paid card in Amsterdam. It worked fine.
Let's make sure your phone is unlocked:
Options--> Advanced Options--> SIM Card
On top it should say "SIM CARD: Security Disabled"

Thanks for the reply....i just made it back to the USA and will be heading back to the Netherlands in about a week.

I go to the SIM Card section of the advanced options and it does indeed say security disabled.
