i want to sync my outlook calender with my blackberry calender. is this something that is possible? if so is there somewhere that shows me how or what the steps are in the process? any help will be much appreciated!!

Run desktop manager and explore the sync utility. You can configure it to sync with outlook.

Can you be more specific? I have tried syncing through the desktop manager and have been unable to get it to update anything. no contacts, no calender entries, nothing...

Go to DM > Synchronize > Configuration

If you have items in your calendar with outlook it should ask you if you want to synch with it.
