If you are running Microsoft Outlook 2003 or 2007, the MAPI profile is set to use Local Cache Mode. Local Cache Mode is not fully supported by BlackBerry Desktop Software. For more information, see the Additional Information section in this article.

    Open Microsoft Outlook.
On the Tools menu, click Options.
    Click the Mail Services tab.
Clear the Enable offline access check box, and then click OK.
    Restart Microsoft Outlook.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Cause 5
There is a corrupted organizer data entry on the BlackBerry smartphone.

    Resolution

To locate the corrupted entry on the BlackBerry smartphone, turn on advanced logging during synchronization. For more information, see KB01451.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Cause 6
The computer has a duplicate Windows Messaging Subsystem registry key. Intellisync is accessing the wrong Windows Messaging Subsystem for the MAPI information.

    Resolution

Warning: Modifying the computer registry can cause substantial damage to the Windows operating system. Document and back up the existing registry entries prior to implementing any changes.

Back up and delete any extra Windows Messaging Subsystem registry keys by completing the following steps:

    Click Start > Run.
Type regedit, and then click OK. The Registry Editor window appears.
On the Edit menu, click Find.
In the Find what field, type Windows Messaging Subsystem.
On the Edit menu, click Find Next to determine how many Windows Messaging Subsystem folders exist within the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder.
Back up and delete any Windows Messaging Subsystem folders that appear in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder other than:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\Cur rent Version/Windows Messaging Subsystem

To perform this task, complete the following steps:

Select the Windows Messaging Subsystem folder to be backed up.
On the Registry menu, click Export Registry File.
Browse to the location on the hard drive of the computer where the registry file will be stored.
In the File Name field, type a name for the registry file and click Save.
Select the Windows Messaging Subsystem folder to be deleted, then click Delete.
    Close the Registry Editor.
Close and re-open BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
Intellisync will access the MAPI profile information from HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/WindowsNT/Current Version/Windows Messaging Subsystem.

Note: If this procedure does not resolve the problem, turn on advanced logging for Intellisync and contact the BlackBerry Technical Support team for further investigation. For more information, see KB01451.
