I was given a new Curve in exchange for my existing 8330 because it was determined by VZW reps that the USB port was loose. VZW sent the new device by FedEx and they expect me to ship the broken Curve back after the replacement phone is up-and-running. When I connect my existing device to Desktop Manager, "switch device wizard" it all goes well until I connect the replacement Curve. The PC's new hardware wizard claims to have installed blackberry drivers but the Desktop Manager never connects to the new device. The Desktop Manager appearance is grayed out until such time that it freezezs and needs to be shut down.

I'm running Vista Home Premium and DM 4.6 connected to both BES and BIS. I'm really not anxious to uninstall and reinstall Desktop Manager because I will have to be reconnected to BES, and my IT manager is grumpy. But I will if it makes sense to do.
