Does the curve follow the same "in holster" rules when you just push the button to put it in standby mode?

I believe standby shuts down everything but the phone.

Ya, but when my phone goes to sleep via the magnet in the pouch, it vibrates/ rings instead of just ringing while out of pouch. Should it do the same thing when I turn it to standy using the mute button?

It can do what ever you want it to in or out of the pouch. Go to the profiles and edit them, scroll down to where it says in holster and then just set it to do what you want. Mine doses the same things in or out the holster. Just don't forget to save the changes.

Right, I understand this, but you are still not answering my question.

No, in holster and standby are different. The magnet activates the in holster profile.
