    I am new to the BlackBerry and I am wondering what is the current PRL for the Sprint BB Curve 8330 and how can I tell what PRL I have? Any hints on how I can get updated?

    Stands for preferred roaming list it can help with your signal reception at times on some phones.

    i remember being able to update it on verizon, but i have no idea if sprint has a number to call like that..
    i have searched the forums before and have not been able to find anything..

    Sprint doesn't seem to have PRL udpate function like Verizon and Alltel do. It seems you just have to wait for them to push the PRL to you.

    You have to call sprint and have them flag your account. There is a number you can dial #4937*? That's probably not it, that's just off the top of my head. I can't find the thread with it now,I'm on my bb. But try to search PRL sprint and the thread should com up. It was made pretty recently, I think.

    i just did this a little while ago.. they had me on hold for ten minutes before they got back on the phone and said "hang up and call back". at least the guy knew what a prl update was

    My PRL is 60651

    and I havnt had any problems with service. so i assume its an updated number.

    I don't get it. I called sprint and updated my PRL and it is still 60650.

    Called CS and had them flag my account then I called back to have it updated.

    I think the last few numbers might be location specific that might be the difference.

    Dialing #4357* will just pop up a screen on your phone and show you what PRL (amongst other things) is currently on your device.

    It doesn't make any changes.
