    I have the 8330 (4.5.0.175).

My parents just got the same phones, and as I helping them learn how to use it, I noticed that their MMS messages are not the same as mine. They also have Sprint.

I get the message "you have new picture mail" followed by a link.

They get the picture like it's an email attachment (Slide 1/1).

Is there any explanation as to why it's different?

    Thank you!

They probably have the 8330M and you have the 8330...

The 8330m has true picture messaging included and uses meid, though I must profess I don't know what that is exactly, and the traditional 8330 (sometimes called 8330e) uses esn, which will send pictures as attachments. If you go under options, then about, it will show you the model number. Also, although the 8330m may sound nice, it appears OS 5.0 will not be coming out on it soon, but will be out on the 8330e. Go figure
