So this happens everywhere not just at home but more so there. Up to 5 times a minute or can go hours without doing it. Here is what I have tried:

Updates
##RTN
Reprovisioning (update data profile)
service books
diagnostics
soft reset
batter pull
manual programming

only thing I have not tried is PRL, but that has to do with roaming, I dont need to roam at home...lol

Any ideas?

You should still do the PRL update.

What OS version are you on? That problem was a known bug in some previous OS versions for the 8330.

Sometimes my phone is just stuck in 1X at home, and I live in downtown Chicago which I know has 1XEV and my phone most often will be in 1XEV. I don't know how to force it back to 1XEV other than turning the radio off and back on.

well the problem is my wifes doesnt do it, the update profile forces it back in 1XEV. Mine didn tdo it before...I deactivate it and used an HTC for awhile and back to this, the phone never did it 1st go around. There are no updates avaliable I am running the most current.
