Hi guys, I got my blackberry last week and I have not been separate from it since (nor do I think I ever will be!). It's great for productivity and helping me get things done, and along those lines I had a question.

I keep spreadsheets on my computer for my budget, and would like to have them on my blackberry so I don't forget to put something in. Do I need 3rd party software to view excel or openoffice spreadsheets? And is there a way I can keep the file on my blackberry synced with the same file on my computer?

    Thanks!

Yes. GridMagic, BeamBerry, and eOffice. Check those 3 out.

Thanks, but are there any free editors? I'm a college student and need it just for basic data input (for my personal budget) and to sync it with the spreadsheets on my laptop.

Sunkast, I use BeamBerry and I don't believe there is any edit function with it.

You can keep docs on the BeamBerry server to access with your BB but I am not aware that you can edit them.
