While listening to music with headphones, a friend's Sprint BES curve will switch to the speakers for a couple seconds, and then switch back to headphones. Is this a known problem with a fix? He says the jack is all the way in. He is also using the original OS. I couldnt find it with a search - not saying it isn't there, I just couldnt find it, lol.

Make sure that he plugs the phones into the phne BEFORE he launches Media. That should fix the problem

I will Pete, but I think what's going on is it is working, then the speaker will blast, then go back to the headphones. Sounds very weird.

THere is some logic in the soket switching/sensing that looks for a headset with a mic and there also seems to be some of that going on with headphones/Media/speakers. I also think that there are multiple hardware revs of the Curve as well as the ROM software that we can't get at that may affect individual phones, differently
