I was on the phone with Verizon customer service the other day and she mentioned something about using the shortcut self-service code to upgrade my phone's software from time to time if it doesn't do it automatically. I wrote it down and now have misplaced it. Does anyone know that #--- code? Thanks!

It's *228 and then press 2. It updates the PRL (or Roaming capability). It's not really a software upgrade on a BlackBerry.
