Spoke with Sprint tech support last night whom tells me to go into a Sprint repair center to get the latest PRL updates, and to have SMS Voice Messaging installed on my phone. This is a feature where one can send INSTANT voice mails to people. Its not the same as MMS as a receipt not on a data plan can receive messages. My last Sprint phone had it, and it was cool being able to send a voice mail to someone in a few steps and not having to force them to go to the web which would defeat the purpose.

Is this true or did the agent not understand me? sad enough as it is but Sprint offers this feature on many of their phones, but only like .01% of their staff knows what it is.

SMS Voice Messaging is a feature that FEW understand. Its a way to send an instant Voice Mail to any mobile phone. No its not a voice to text, its a instant voice mail. My old phone had it and I kinda miss it. Sometimes I cnat always type out a message (driving) but I can send a SMS Voice Message.

So.... it's like a one-way phone conversation then.
Sorry, but I fail to see the upside for this. Wouldn't a phone call be more productive? And, in the event they don't answer, you can leave a voice message.
