How do I create a shortcut to "Compose SMS Text", similar in nature to the "Compose Email" Icon i have in my main screen?

If you need this option badly enough, as the other poster said, setting a conveinence key would be most effective.

I forgot about QSMS... nice little app as well

Options > Screen / Keyboard > Convenience Key or something along those lines (to set the convenience key!!)

How do I set the convenience key to compose?

Go to Options... then "Screen/Keyboard" and then Select "Compose"

Personally, I use my convenience key to open the "SMS/MMS" This way I can chose from the messages there and respond or create a new SMS/MMS. To do this, chose "SMS/MMS" rather than "Compose"
