Hi, lately when I use the track ball to scroll through options there is a half-second delay when it shows up on the screen... obviously, this get's annoying very fast. It's like when a computer is slowed down my too many programs running or something. Any suggestions on how to fix?

Also, how in the world do I use picture Mail? I recently received a picture from someone through SMS and when I tried to send a pic back... I could not figure out how to do it! I looked up on the sprint website, but their instructions did not match my phone

Can't address the first part.

But to the second part, Sprint currently does not support MMS on BlackBerry. You would have to send them as email.

Make sure you close out of an appliction properly by going to menu>close. It probably would be a good idea to do a battery pull as well, remove your battery while the device is ON, wait a minute and re-insert...
