The little arrows up to the right of the battery charge, which looks like it is sending and receiving arrows is continually showing and I feel it is slowing my BB down. I cleared the cache for the browser, I deleted a facebook calendar service book, since I use a different program to sync my BB to my computer, and all has been fine for months then this happens.

Reboot your Blackberry by pulling the battery while the device is powered on, or by holding alt+leftshift+del for a while.

as the arrows ar showing continously, the device will eat up your data plan! so you should definitely reboot SOON.

You should always make sure and fully close out any programs running in the background. Certain programs like bbm, home, messages, phone and browser will not completely close. Use Menu/close to be sure. Using the back arrow to close works on only select apps.
