I just purchased a new Curve and have it up and running. I noticed however that it doesn't have a SIM card in it? Was it supposed to come with one? I'm new to the world of blackberry and was just curious if I need to contact the provider.

the verizon curve does not have a slot for a sim card but the 8830 does because it is a world phone.

The CDMA (Sprint/Verizon) BlackBerry Curves do not support the GSM frequencies. (Used by most of the rest of the world). The phone cannot use a SIM card.

The only CDMA BlackBerries with a SIM card ability (for GSM) are the 8830 and 9530.
