Ok folks, I've set a contact to MUTE as far as for calls. But how do I set the same thing for this contact as far as TEXT are concerned? MY sons mother is driving me crazy. I have full custody and she feels it is her right to text me a thousand times a day. I'm on AT&T. With a Curve 8310.
Sorry but you would have to set all text messages to be muted under profiles. There might be an app that will let you set a custom alert for contacts, but I have not heard of it.

Have you set up a Profile for that Contact? If so, go in and set the the SMS & whatever other notifications you want to None for the Tone or Mute for Volume.
