    What are the service books? They seem crucial to upgrade to 4.5 OS. The main point I got a BB was for the push email. My main emails are Yahoo and my work email.

    I am totally new to BB's but it seems I have a lot to learn.

    Service books are crucial to your BlackBerry regardless of your OS ,be it 4.5 or 2.2.

    Are you having problems? Or are you just curious maybe?

    Just curious. I don't even have my Curve yet. I was just wondering how\what they are and what are their point. I doubt my BB will come with the 4.5 OS preinstalled but you never know. If I do install it I want it to be to its max potential.

    If you go through the basics of setting up your blackberry, you really don't have to worry about your service books. The setup process will take of it for you.

    If you do decide to upgrade your OS to 4.5, you can always call your service provider and have them resent if you can't figure out where to do it online.

    If your BIS and email is working you should not have to worry about it. Are they?

    I had to call ATT to have them resent. Some strange conflict between the two curves on my acct kept me from logging onto the BIS site to do it.

    Probably. From the Home screen select;

    Menu/EmailSettings/ServiceBooks/ResendServiceBooks

    After you are done resending you wont be able to use your browser again until you press and hold the back key from the email settings screen. The email settings page highjacks your browser

    From the email setting you can also check your hotmail settings like username and password etc. to make sure it all looks in order.

    Is that what is said before or after you resent? When the service bools are resent you should get an email for each account that was resent , did you get them or just you BB address one?

    MTX , would you mind posting the web address from which you can re send your service book. I think it would be helpful for many of the Verizon people here.
