Ever noticed how one can send email much faster using a BB specific email (ie [email protected]) than using your gmail or what not on account on your BB? I am not talking about using the web browser? Why is this?

Isn't it obvious? You are using the RIM servers, not the RIM servers + the other mail server of your other account (Google, Hotmail, etc.). Less interfaces to cross.
Not to everyone. Some think I am talking about comparing BB email with using the snail web browser to access email, or the gmail BB app to access email. But slow compared to a native RIM acct.
