I removed my trackball to clean it and it naturally vanished into my dashboard. A new one is on the way, but in the meanwhile, is there a keyboard shortcut that enables keyboard scrolling?

Yea the space key will scroll down and to scroll up use the Caps key. If you want to scroll to the top of the page...that is letter T. To hit the bottom of the page...its B

My phone is on the home screen, and I wonder if there's any way to scroll around it or if I'm stuck on the text option, which is highlighted now.

Some apps can be opened with shortcuts if you have dialing from the home screen turned off. B for Browser, M for Messages, A or C for the Address Book, O for Options, etc.

But without a trackball, you can't move one line at a time.
