    You know how there is a setting in Options to adjust the screen brightness? Mine is at 10 on my Curve 8310, but sometimes, all of a sudden, the backlight for the screen gets really bright (like, maybe 100) and stays like that for long periods of time. What can I do to prevent this and save my eyes?

    Mine's set for 30 and does this, too ... in the bright sunlight. Not sure why.

    Go to Menu/Options/Screen Keyboard and set Auto Dim back light to no or yes depending what it's already set to.
