i just bought a card its a sandisk 4g Sdhc card , when i install in a screen pops up and says i need to format the card ,i go to options and then media card then format and it sits there , how long does it take to format? i been sitting here close to a hr now , its only a 4 g card

Formatting should take just seconds. Perhaps the card isn't seated properly?
