I have a BB curve 8330. I have the latest OS.
I just got this 8 gig Sandisk Micro SDHC from ebay

When I put it in my curve, and go options>media card>menu "format" my BB freezes

So I try and format it with the PC.
I tried this 2 ways, first through USB connected to BB, it gives me an error msg.
Then I use an adapter for the card itself, I went to Control Panel>Admin tools>Computer Managment>Disk Managment
the removable disk shows as a 31 MB capacity, and is still not formattable.

    Is this a fake card?

It has a serial number and it says "made in china"

if not, is there something else I can do to format it?

I know this probably isn't going to help, and maybe I'll learn something new, but I've never had to format a new card unless I was wanting to erase all the data on the card.

    Sorry, don't know.

Overkill is right, it is very rare anyone needs to format a media card. That said, it sounds like you got a bad card if nothing will format it, and you probably want a new card.

From Media, press Menu, Explore. Look in Media Card, Blackberry and look in the Pictures, Music, Ringtones, etc folders.
