So I went to bed last night and my blackberry was fine. I woke up this morning and this is what my blackberry looked like.

So this is my first time switching devices. Is there a way to backup all my stuff so I can just toss it on my new one? (Contacts , saved texts, etc).

Have you tried the battery pull when it is on?
Try that and if it works, use the Desktop Manager (DM) and backup the device.

Have you updated recently or added any 3rd. party applications?

The only new thing I did was add a theme from bplay, but that was about a week ago...


Is there hope that this isnt a hardware issue?? What should I do?

did the screen give you any error codes at all?

Nope no error codes. Just looks all screwy. It looks like hardware damage IMHO. But I set my alarm when I went to bed and it was fine. Woke up and it wasnt fine.

I tried an OS update and checked those boxes that remove all apps and dont restore them etc.

That didnt fix it. Any hope that a full wipe will actually do anything?

Can't hurt now, has the sreen changed at all or is it still static like in the pic?, if so i think you might need a new one...

It goes all white then staticy again. Sometimes not the whole screen just part of it.
