Use Audacity to edit the volume of the mp3.

Wanna share the tone? A lot of folks have ringtones they can't hear.

i dont understand... i kept lowering the volume on with a computer program, and when i play it on the media player on the blackberry the volume gets lower too.

but when i set it as the phone tune, its the same loudness as originally.

so i tried a test - i lower the volume to zero with a computer program (silenced the song) and so when i paly it on the bb media player i hear nothing.

BUT when i set it to the phone tune its perfect volume.

    whats going on?

Try deleting the file, doing a battery pull, and adding it back.

Whew, I'm glad someone else is having this problem with too loud of a ringtone!
I put in the Jetson's doorbell, and the first time it went off I swear it flew me into another galaxy! It was so loud that it was distorted (but sounded perfect when on the computer and even when you are testing them in the ringtone area on the phone). Nothing would change the volume...I tried both louder and quieter to see if there was a bit of difference but it was all the exact same.

I downloaded an old telephone ringer, the older one, its loud enough for me to hear it, sometimes I cringe when Im out say in line at a store, or restaurant and I hear someones phone go off, obnoxiously loud LOL

Some need to learn cell phone ettique LOL

I do like songs for tones, and I have some, but I go thru phases with em.
