I just received a text message on my Curve from a girl using a BlackBerry Pearl. For some reason when I see the message in my message box, the text is all red. Does Anyone know what causes that. She has text me before and it has never been red like that.

the red text means she sent you a message using your pin #..

The text of the message, or just the title in your message list? If just the title, that means she sent it as a Level 1 message or pin. If it's the text itself, I don't know.

Yup thats a PIN message, not a TEXT message.

O, ok. Makes sense because it was only red in my message box. When I opened it the text was normal black

Pin messages are nice because they stand out more They'll also show delivery even if the person you're sending to is on another carrier..
