Mine started doing it when I updated the os. I have been going in the profile options and turning off the LED on everything (expect BBM, texts ect). It seems not to do it much anymore. How this helps.

Go to your message screen, go to the very top. Click the blackberry button and then select "mark all prior opened"


This happens to me sometimes and that usually solves it, when it doesnt i battery pull and that will solve for sure.

happens to me all the time. usually what i do is turn the power off (not reset or battery pull) and then back on again and it goes away

I think RIM should not allow apps to flash the red blinky unless the user specifically approves the app for red blinky!! I love my BB, but this "feature" drives me nuts.
