I'm new to the blackberry. This i my first. I just bought and inserted a 2gb micro SD card, there is plenty of memory left on it.

When I try to record a video, I get the message "failed to start recording"

    Any advice?

    Thank you

This wouldn't be an issue with lack of available memoury, it would be a device problem. Try a battery pull first.

Hmm. Have you deleted any apps from your phone?

I'm not much help, but when you're in the video camera mode...hit menu and go to options...see what you can change there.

I just noticed that I can't seem to delete any of my unwanted videos that I recorded

Woody, I doubt that will change anything, unfortunately. It sounds like the OP may have a software issue.

Nope, no apps...the phone is brand spanking new.

My OS is 4.3 something, maybe that's an issue, should I update the desktop manager and the OS?

No. This is NOT your issue. The video camera works perfectly fine on all Verizon Curves running 4.3. You may, like I said, have a software issue. I would take the phone back to the VZW store if it were me.

Apparently it was a problem with the SD card. I formatted it again, and the video worked fine.

    Weirdness.
