I'm assuming most of you are on Orange.

Does the wifi use your data plan?

I can get 8300 on O2 with 200 meg (fair usage policy) - the dataplan is an extra 10 or Orange want 7.50 for 6 meg with an 8320.

I am more likely to be using a wifi connection, especially when traveling to the USA but if the wifi uses the dataplan then the O2 offer suits me better.

    TIA

I would love to know what BB Orange are offering you. I am sure its an 8820 with Wifi not an 8320.

Amd i wold go with O2 everytime. Orange have a bad reputation of ruining certain operational aspects of phones.

    ok, device aside

is the wifi included in the 6 meg from orange or not.

Using the BB in the USA will be almost entirely wifi so if I am going to get charged then I may aswell stick to O2, if I am not being charged then orange is looking better in terms of plan offered.

    8320 has wi-fi and 8300/8310 does not.

I appreciate that. I'm trying to find out whether I'm better off getting a wifi enable BB or not - O2 don't do a wifi BB but Orange does. O2 has a much better dataplan than orange so I am tryng to find out if the wifi usage is included on the dataplan.

Once I know which dataplan is best for me then I wil look at the devices again.

Wifi is on the 8120 Pearl and thats available on O2 as of today....And i would recommend O2 over Orange as their tariffs are rubbish in comparison.

And Wifi is free as far as usage is concerned in the UK - providing you have the ability to lock onto a wifi network.

looks like 02 is for me (which is handy as I'm already with them)

now to figure out the BB for me, wonder if O2 will get the 8320........

    Thanks

I would go with a full QWERTY BB everytime as i am not fond of Sure Type (Pearls) but the Wifi would be interesting. Depends how much you use it...

    Good Luck either way

got to admit the qwerty keyboard was one of the things that attracted me in the first place.
